Emergent, Bolt, Replit and Lovable all turn prompts into working software, and all four start between $20 and $25 a month. They are not interchangeable. Each one makes different trade-offs between speed, control, design quality and what happens after the first version.
This comparison focuses on the questions buyers actually ask: what each tool costs, which one handles mobile apps, who owns the code, and which fits your skill level.

| Tool | Entry plan | Yearly price | What the plan includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emergent Standard | $20 / mo | $17 / mo | 100 credits; hosting billed in credits from 50 / mo |
| Bolt Pro | $25 / mo | about 28% less | 10M tokens; unused tokens roll over one month |

| Lovable Pro | $25 / mo | $21 / mo | 100 credits plus 5 daily credits |

Emergent
Emergent runs a team of AI agents that plan, code, test and deploy the app for you. Web apps come with a React frontend, FastAPI backend and MongoDB; a separate mobile agent builds React Native apps with Expo that you can submit to the app stores. GitHub sync is included from the $20 plan.
Strengths: the most complete hands-off workflow of the four, real mobile apps, built-in testing, managed hosting. Weaknesses: fixed stack, and long agent runs can use a lot of credits.

Bolt
Bolt (bolt.new, from StackBlitz) runs a full development environment inside your browser. You see the code being written in real time and can edit it directly. It is quick for prototypes and supports many JavaScript frameworks.
Strengths: speed, framework flexibility, visible code. Weaknesses: token use climbs fast on larger projects, and non-developers can get stuck when errors need manual fixes.
Replit
Replit is a cloud IDE with an AI agent on top. It supports almost any language, includes databases and hosting, and bills agent work by effort: small fixes cost less, big features more.
Strengths: maximum control, any stack, strong for learning and for developers. Weaknesses: more technical than the others, and usage-based billing can be hard to predict.
Lovable
Lovable is known for clean, good-looking web interfaces. It pairs a React frontend with Supabase for the backend and has a visual editor for fine-tuning design.
Strengths: design quality, approachable for non-coders, active community. Weaknesses: web only, and complex backend logic often needs extra work in Supabase.
