Robot dogs have split into three very different markets. Consumer quadrupeds such as Unitree Go2 Air cost about the same as a high-end laptop. Developer versions for schools and labs cost five to ten times more. Industrial inspection robots, built to climb stairs in the rain and carry gas sensors, cost as much as a small van. This guide sorts the robot dogs for sale in Europe into those three groups, with prices, so you know which shelf you are shopping from.
Prices are Robots Europa list prices checked on 8 October 2026. Robots Europa is a Dublin-based distributor that ships across the EU, and Dijipedya earns a commission on referred orders. The comparison is based on manufacturer and distributor information rather than our own lab tests.

Three kinds of robot dog
| Group | Price range | Who buys it | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consumer | About €1,800 to €5,500 | Enthusiasts, content creators, families, showrooms | Little or no access to write your own code |
| Education and development | About €9,000 to €20,000 | Schools, universities, robotics startups | Indoor and light outdoor use, not weatherproof for daily patrols |
| Industrial | About €22,000 to €90,000+ | Energy, utilities, plants, security firms | Price, and the need for an integration project |
Consumer robot dogs
These robots walk, trot, climb small steps, follow their owner and perform tricks through an app or remote. Higher versions add voice commands, better obstacle avoidance and longer battery life. They are fun and impressive, but most do not let you run your own code.

Unitree Go2 Air and Go2 Pro are the reference models in this group. If you are deciding between them, our Go2 Air vs Go2 Pro vs Lite3 Pro comparison goes into detail.
Education and development robot dogs
Developer versions open the SDK, add onboard computing and often support ROS 2, so students and engineers can write navigation, perception and control code. This is the group most European universities buy from.
| Robot | Listed price | Link |
|---|---|---|
| FX Aegis Edu | €9,036 | View |
| Deep Robotics Lite3 Pro | €9,041 | View |
| Galileo C1 | €9,045 | View |
| MagicLab MagicDog | €11,306 | View |
| Unitree Go2 Edu Standard | €11,944 | View |
| Deep Robotics Lite3 LIDAR | €13,115 | View |
| Unitree Go2 Edu Plus | €14,382 | View |
The jump from Go2 Pro to Go2 Edu is mainly about software access and computing, not the body. If you only need demos, the consumer version is enough. For sensor choices such as LiDAR and depth cameras, see our robot dog sensors guide.
Industrial robot dogs
Industrial quadrupeds are sealed against dust and water, carry heavier payloads such as thermal cameras, gas detectors and robot arms, and run longer. They are bought for inspection rounds in substations, plants, tunnels and refineries, and for security patrols.
| Robot | Listed price | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Galileo EX-1 (explosion proof) | €22,608 | View |
| Galileo S1 | €45,221 | View |
| Deep Robotics X30 | €55,849 | View |

| Unitree B2-W (wheeled) | €80,410 | View |
| Deep Robotics X30 Pro | €87,737 | View |
| Unitree B2 | €90,450 | View |
With industrial robots the dog is only part of the project. Payload sensors, docking stations, inspection software and integration with your maintenance system are usually quoted separately. Our industrial inspection robot dogs guide covers these projects.

Buying in Europe
- Batteries: lithium batteries affect shipping. Ask how many are included and whether spares ship separately. See robot battery shipping in Europe.
- Warranty: consumer and industrial versions often have different terms. Ask where repairs are done and how long they take.
- VAT and CE: businesses can often buy VAT-free under the reverse charge within the EU. See buying a robot in Europe.
- Software access: confirm SDK access in writing before ordering a developer version.
- Accessories: protective brackets, extra controllers and transport cases add to the bill.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a robot dog cost?
In Europe, consumer robot dogs start around €1,800 to €2,200 (FX Navi, Dobot Rover X1, Unitree Go2 Air). Developer versions cost about €9,000 to €15,000, and industrial models such as Deep Robotics X30 or Unitree B2 cost about €55,000 to €90,000 (Robots Europa, October 2026).
What is the best robot dog for the money?
For most private buyers, Unitree Go2 Air or Go2 Pro. For students and developers, Deep Robotics Lite3 Pro and Unitree Go2 Edu offer the best value thanks to SDK access.
Can I program a Unitree Go2?
Full SDK access is mainly offered on Go2 Edu versions. Air and Pro versions are controlled through the app and remote with limited programming options.
Are robot dogs waterproof?
Consumer models are generally not built for rain or puddles. Industrial models such as Deep Robotics X30 and Unitree B2 carry ingress protection ratings for outdoor work; check the exact rating for your site.
Can I buy a robot dog as a private person in Europe?
Yes. Consumer and many developer versions can be ordered by private buyers. Industrial models are usually sold to companies with a project quote.
